Why this series exists
N50bn to N80bn
Estimated annual cost of misdelivery in Nigeria. The new postcode makes it easier to find and use addresses. In this series, builders will show how they're putting it to work; at checkout, during account opening, and across dispatch and emergency response.
The postcode
One code for the exact building
A street address can still leave a delivery rider, bank agent or ambulance crew searching. Nigeria's new postcode gives every addressable building an 11-character code to help them find the right place.
NIPOST issues the codes, and developers can access them through an API.
Five parts. One building. Each code identifies the state, LGA, district, area and building.
Built for developers. Look up and validate postcodes through the API, with SDKs and bulk access available.
Find your own postcode. Search for your building at postcode.gov.ng or in the NIPOST app.

For builders
From application to the live room
Individuals, teams and companies based in Nigeria can apply. Bring an existing product that uses the postcode or a working prototype of something new.
Apply
Tell us what you've built, who it's for and how it uses the postcode. Include a short demo video or a working link.
Shortlist
We review applications as they come in. If you're shortlisted, we'll arrange a briefing and technical rehearsal before your session.
Present live
You'll have five minutes to show your solution, then five minutes for questions from the Minister, the Postmaster General and invited guests.
Follow up
If a guest or viewer wants to continue the conversation, we'll introduce you within five working days. We'll check in again after 30 days to see what came from the connection.
Where it matters
Eight sectors where an address becomes money
We'll focus outreach on identity and payment platforms because one integration can help us reach all the businesses using them. We're also open to solutions outside these areas.
What you get
No prize money. Something better.
Time with decision-makers. Meet the Minister, the Postmaster General, and organisations that could adopt or support your solution.
Real connections, not just applause. Anyone who registers interest in your solution will be connected to you within five working days.
Public showcase. Your solution will be listed publicly after Session 1. Strong solutions that don't get a live slot will also be listed and considered for future sessions.
Free API access. Get free access to the development API through the NIPOST dashboard while you build.
For organisations
Partner with the series
